VAL & JOYCE FINDLAY MEMORIAL - INFORMATION ABOUT MEETING ON APRIL 15th, 2012
Now that the Victorian Open Champs are done with, just want to get some info out there about the Val Findlay. We have obviously been a little busy with the state title and this meeting has been pushed into the background somewhat. Anyway the supp regs will be out soon. The format of racing will be as follows:

The top placegetters will be eligible to enter or if they dont the next person gets the chance. We will want full grids anyway.Classes to run will be all junior classes, club light and heavy, tag restricted light and heavy, sportsman over 40's, sportsman pro, KZ2 and Open Class, so KZ's and others can double up in the open class. At the completion of the days racing, club day presentations will be made. Followed by a BBQ and the bar as usual will be open.
The day will be completed with the presentation of the 2011 Club Championship trophies.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
The club is seeking expressions of interest from members wishing to run either Sportsman Restricted 125 Over 40's or Sportsman 125 Over 40's as a club championship class on club days. Those interested please email Dominic Albanese at dom.1971@live.com with there preference. If either class is to run, it will be announced prior to March club day via this web site.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE TRACK CLOSURE**
Due to the up coming Victorian State Titles the track will be closed to members on the following days,
- Friday 2nd March through to Monday 5th March with the titles starting on the 6th of March.
- During the titles the track will be unavailable to members starting from the 6th of March through to the 11th of March inclusive.

CLUBDAY FEBRUARY 26TH 2012
After the success and positive feed back from November Clubday, February Clubday will be run under the same format. The normal five minute practice in the morning will be timed qualifying and the grid positions for the first two heats will be guided by the results of qualifying, followed by the final. Pre-entries can be made via the CMS.
At the completion of the days racing, clubday presentations will be made. Followed by a sausage sizzle with sausages being $1.00 each, and the bar will be open.
With the completion of the sausage sizzle, the 2011 Club Championship Presentations will commence.
As an added bonus the coffee lady is back and here to stay. Opening at 7.30am every clubday.
So be there, have some great racing and support your club.

After much consideration and in a effort to have a more structured approach to the season the following classes will be offered in the 2012 Geelong Kart Club Championship.

11. Sportsman 125 Heavy
12. Open Performance
Weights will be as per the 2012 AKA Manual. Classes with less than 5 starters will be combined with another class where possible. We are unable to offer Rotax and Leopard separate as per the rules of the AKA/VKA in 2012 on a clubday. Leopard drivers or Rotax drivers wanting to test on their class drivers are eligible to double enter in the open performance class for example.
